Introduction to Resin Art

How many reels or posts do you spot within a minute of scrolling through Instagram?

There must be something that draws people towards it. Working with resin is exciting. It requires careful mixing, pouring, and drying to acquire a wonderful product.

Have you ever wondered how the cute trinkets and glossy wall clocks are made?

Let’s get started.

If you are desperate to become a resin artist, we will guide you through the basics that will help you build a foundation in this art. Nothing about this art is easy. It requires precision, passion, and patience.

Anybody at the comfort of their home can delve into this art.

What do you need to learn resin art?

  • Resin and hardener

  • Moulds or MDF

  • Measuring Cup

  • Mixing Sticks

  • Face Mask

  • Hand Gloves

  • Mica Powder

If you have the above-listed materials, it is just a matter of time before you start working with them.

Precautions to take while working with resin.

Resin is a chemical, and mixing it with a hardener can release gas that, when inhaled, can irritate the respiratory system, and contact with skin can sometimes cause allergies.

  • Ensure that you always wear a face mask and hand gloves when dealing with resin.

  • Do not work with resin in closed spaces.

  • Do not not rub your eyes or touch your skin while working with it.

  • Wash your hands properly once you have completed your work.

The next step is mixing resin and hardener, which requires carefulness. A mistake in the measurements could ruin your entire work.
